What is the Legacy Project?
A mission to preserve wisdom, honor stories, and pass down what matters most.

Every family has stories—some are told around dinner tables, others whispered in quiet moments, and some are nearly forgotten until someone asks the right question. These stories hold more than memories; they hold wisdom, identity, humor, and history. They teach us who we come from and remind us what truly matters.
But in today’s fast-paced world, those stories are disappearing faster than ever.
The Legacy Project exists to change that.
The Heart Behind The Legacy Project
The Legacy Project began with something simple: a granddaughter realizing that her grandfather—a man who had lived a life full of adventure, faith, service, and humor—carried stories that deserved to be preserved.
From:
~Visiting Europe after WWII
~Serving in the Marines and the Navy as a sharpshooter
~Working as a pre-Miranda police officer and occasional game warden in rural VT
~Raising 9 children, many of whom were special needs children adopted from foster care
~Working in prison ministry alongside Chuck Colson
~Building a life rooted in faith, humor, resilience, and service
…to the quiet lessons learned through marriage, parenting, loss, redemption, and everyday life.
These stories, lessons, and jokes weren’t meant to fade.
That’s how The Legacy Project was born:
A mission to capture generational wisdom, preserve it, and share it with the world with the hope that others will do the same.
What We Do
Capture Stories That Matter
We record and share real-life stories told by a grandfather whose life has been anything but ordinary. Through long-form interviews, short clips, reels, and written reflections, we turn decades of experience into content that is:
~Wise
~Wholesome
~Honest
~Heartwarming
~Hilarious
These stories are as much for the family as they are for the world.
Share Wisdom and Truth
Through The Legacy Project, we highlight practical wisdom about:
~Faith
~Marriage
~Character
~Raising children
~Overcoming hardship
~Finding purpose
~Serving others
~Living a life that serves the Lord
Encourage Families to Preserve Their Own Legacies
One of our goals is to inspire others to do the same — to sit down with the grandparents, parents, mentors, and elders in their own lives and ask the questions that unlock stories before they’re gone.
Our goal as we develop will be to provide:
~Prompts for “interviewing” the legacy-holders of your family
~Inspiration through our own interviews
~Tools for meaningful conversations
So that families everywhere can create their own “legacy archives.”
Why Legacy Matters
When stories are lost, the wisdom goes with them.
We believe:
Legacy is not what you leave behind—it’s what you pass down.
Families grow stronger when they know where they come from.
Wisdom shared today becomes guidance for tomorrow.
In a world obsessed with what’s new, The Legacy Project reminds us of the value of what’s timeless.
Our Hope
We hope every story, lesson, bit of scripture, joke, and memory shared here touches someone’s life in a meaningful way. Whether it encourages, teaches, comforts, or simply makes someone smile, our goal is simple:
To honor the past, enrich the present, and guide the future.
This is more than a project.
It’s a legacy.
And we’re grateful you’re part of it.
